I feel for you...  I'm going though hell right now myself.  My doctor thought my first one fell out (or my body "expelled" it) a week after inserted and there were no strings.  She put another one in a few months later. Now I have two, neither of which is in my uterus.  One is floating around in my pelvis and one is somewhere in my right abdomen near my appendix.  I'm having a CT next week and will have surgery sometime later in September.  Know you are not the only one...
