I'm not sure, but the Broda Barnes method(he knew more about the thyroid than anyone alive during his time)is considered 85% accurate. His method was taking body temp first thing in morning, etc. If its low the problem is probably low thyroid, but in some cases, up to 15% there could be a different illness or disease causing the low temp. I don't know off hand which things do this.
