If your state of mind is one of illness, then illness will continue to manifest regardless of what treatments you apply.

I feel many treatments are valid and do have initial results because the person is more open to them and initially has hope or perceives them as being beneficial. But then after the initial phase, the doubting mind begins to take over, they fall back to the old ways of thinking, and no amount of treatment in the world can stand against the powerful force of thought.

All the methods and treatments are only symbolic, externalized manifestation of something much deeper.
