I suspect that the compliance and lack of awareness often comes from the desensitising and dulling effects of the medications so many people are taking, anti depressents, anti anxiety, and other psychiatric drugs; along with very strong and pervasive advertising and propaganda. People used to be able to think critically, many seemed to have lost this capacity! That's my theory anyway!
