I'm 28.
Did your friend used to take medication? I have heard about people who get better with age, though a psychiatrist told me that this is only people who have stayed on their medicine ever since first getting sick and who haven't had any relapses (i.e. another psychotic break, usually when the person goes off meds). Psychiatrists say a lot of different things though.
