It is true that the smell is affected by what you eat. However, we have been programmed to believe urine is waste and we void it in the toilet. So, the smell is also affected by our lifetime of negative feedback and emotions. When you begin to take urine, you re-train your thinking. And like many have said, you can change the smell by what you eat. Because we are what we eat.
