Could 1102 tons of moon fragments and dust eventually cause the sun to be struck (by a moon earthquake or bad orbit)?

NASA wants to send two spacecraft to blow up part of the moon.

Eventually, "the days will be shortened" (for the sake of the elect) to become what (16 hour days)? Is that because a third of the SUN will be struck?
