Hi guys,
I apologize ahead of time if I'm treading on a topic that has already been answered but I'm relatively new to the use of Ozone besides my experiences with hydrogen peroxide.
I recently found out that I have a mold infestation in my home and it is the cause of serious breathing problems I have been experiencing for the past year. It has gotten to the point where I'm now on medical leave and cannot work until I resolve this issue, I can avoid the major infested room which was my former bedroom and I find I can get by but it's not enough. So to jump to my point I need help in picking the right type of ozone generator that can completely wipe out the mold.
I already threw out various of pieces of furniture that tested positive for mold, but I want to purify EVERYTHING.
This is what I hope to get out of it and what I'm looking to spend.
1. Room by room purification, the model does not need to be strong enough to purify the entire house in one go but enough so that within 2 days of running on high it can completely purify each room I put it into. The rooms vary in size from that of a small bathroom to a medium sized bedroom.
2. Ideally if it can also be used to purify drinking water this is a bonus, if not this is ok too as I plan on buying a water ozonator in addition if this one can't.
3. At the moment because of financial constraints I would only be able to spend up to $200 on one. However if there are models that run up to $400 that are far superior please let me know in which case I'll do what I need to buy it now.
I've done some reading around the forums here especially the RN posts but haven't come across one that gave me 100% clarity of exactly it is that I need.
Also if the ozone generator is powerful enough to destroy mold will it also break down wiring, books or anything else I should be aware of in my room. When ozone purifying a room do all the contents within the room need to be removed?
If you guys have any links or any info at all to help me it is GREATLY appreciated, as I desperately need to solve this problem. Overall I just want to get on with purifying my house so I can finally sleep in my bedroom again without feeling as though I'm suffocating.
PS. I'm posting this in the black mold forum as well, although I am not certain if the mold I've been exposed to is black mold or not, I figure the people in this forum would probably know a lot about destroying mold in general.
