i had never taken Epsom Salts orally until recently, but after doing a lot of reading on the Liver Flush Forum , it wasn't an experience i was looking forward to. the taste seemed to be a very unpopular. so the other night, when i took a couple of teaspoons in a glass of water, i was very pleasantly surprised that i didn't taste anything but water. i realize that my dose was probably weaker than what most people on the Liver Flush Forum are taking, but i still expected some unpleasantness.
so last night i was reading on a different site and someone said that one way to test for magnesium deficiency is to dissolve 1/8 tsp. Epsom Salts in a glass of water. if it tastes like water or better than water, you have a magnesium deficiency, otherwise it will taste bitter.
does anyone know whether this test is reliable or not? i do suspect that i am deficient in magnesium for other reasons as well, but i thought this would be good confirmation since i took 16 times that amount in a glass of water and tasted no bitterness, assuming that it really works that way.
