according to the great herbalist Dr Christopher, teacher of Richard Schulze .
In addition to Dr Christopher's diet and pancreas formula with the cedar berry and other stuff I posted previously, he also recommends the following for diabetics:
he further says Heavy users of insulin have been able to cut their intake rapidly by a number of herbal remedies such as verde cactus and ginger, and chaparral.
Clean the colon area with a high enema of burdock root, yellow dock root, or bayberry bark.
Assist nature in its elimination of sugars and body poisons through the skin by taking long hot baths and soaking in the bathtub. Accompany the baths by taking internally diaphoretic teas (see the kidney/dialysis forum under he 29 steps under diaporetic teas for what these would be (example==peppermint/spearmint/yarrow)
Finish off with a cold shower or by sponging with cold water and vinegar (also only use raw vinegar like the brand Bragg's or spectrum with the mother in it on the skin and internally).
Use the lower bowel tonic herbs [Lower Bowel] to help promote regular elimination.
NOTE:
(one could see what he used in this in his book "school of natural healing in the back" ..use the proportions in the recipe and make your own tincture using organic bulk herbs or use the intestinal cleanse one and two available from Dr Schulze's site herbdoc.com I would not recommend the school's brand as they know longer use the fresh herbs he did nor do his heirs use organic herbs in the nature's way brand so I would either make your own using his formula or use the ones on herbdoc.com which are superior)
He further suggests--Hot fomentation of castor oil, etc., may be used on the spine, stomach, and pancreas areas to obtain relief.
