In my opinion its all caused by poor adrenal health which is probably related too the HPA axis being disturbed. Iodine is what balanced it for me but i lost alot of electrolytes and my hearts being wonky ever since so i stopped and am now back on it.

But im unsure of what comes first poor sluggish liver causing shite adrenal and endocrine health, hormonal imbalances or if its the cause and everything slows down.
