Debbie, this is AIDS forum, support forum for people who want to regain health after aids diagnoses.

AIDS is complex sindrome, and HIV may or may not be an important part of it.

I think you are confusing HIV with AIDS.

HIV is a virus, relatively harmless, some even believe it doesn't exist, while AIDS is a serious sindrome.

SEX may be a cofactor for some people with AIDS, but there are usually many other more important factors, one of them being AZT and drugs!

Most AIDS is caused by drugs and AZT!


You can contract many other illness, you can contract many different parasites, bacteria, viruses, yeast, ...by having sex, ... but you can't directly contract AIDS.


And those parasites and other illnes may or may not be a causative cofactor in majority of AIDS cases.


AIDS is just an umbrela term, a name given to the set of symptoms, which may, but usually doesn't correspond to the same set of causative agents in different people.


Actually, it more often then not caused by overuse of drugs.
