Hello Anne, about for how long I had it, I can tell you, for a long time, I first started with the simptoms like 15 or 18 years ago!!!!!!!!!!, the thing is that they came one at a time and this way you get all confused because you are atacking diarrea, or herpes, or just head ache, itching some times, and also as time went by I notice some inflamation on the low part of my stomach, also dark nails , You allways think is fungus and is not they never heal with antifungus treatment ....now I know it was the liver. The tragic part of all is no body diagnose the real desease until you have all the simptoms toghether and you became yellow as a banana. Please remember we are talking here Hep B, I know nothing about hep C, also I read that it is considered a sexual desease but you can get it fron saliva, swet, tears or any other body fluid that gets in contact with any open wound, in my case I am 47 Y/O so if anybody asks me about 15 or 20 years ago..... well I was young, good looking and having a lot of fun. I guess I will never be sure how I got it and is not an isue anymore but something is for sure , it was a looooong time ago. Thks God for the urine, mine, now, is clear and tasteless but at the beging it was smelly , very dark and bitter taste. what you eat is very important for the taste of the urine and also you have to nurish your body with the best and just the best, no animal products but is very important to be advise from a nutrioionist.
