Two reasons amino acids are used in the above protocol is because some of them detoxify the body. The other reason, is that they build the body up and balance the neurotransmitters in the brain and in the body. They work when you can't digest protein.
One of the detoxing agents that are used in the above protocol is vitamin C. I was prescribed 3000 mg. if it a day in 3 divided doses.
Here, we have come to understand that synthetic vitamins are not the thing to use.
The other option I can think of is to make large quantities of fresh orange juice and drink it every day for the vitamin C. Fresh fuit juice detoxes. Especially orange juice. It also has enzymes that help the body along with lots of other good stuff!
