I am so sorry to hear your story.  Have you heard of oleander and would you be willing to try it?  It can be taken with chemo and it lessens or eliminates its side effects.  However, with Cisplatin it does not prevent hair loss.  I am going to give you links as to the history, use, and effects of oleander.  It can either be purchased from from South Africa at http://www.sutherlandiaopc.com or made into a soup.  Although oleander in its raw form is highly toxic, when made into the extract it is a powerful healer and in your brother's case, if it were me, I would try it.  Let me give you the links.
