Interesting... "He himmed and hawed and then said it would be rare"
So at one point or another he must have thought of something to form that conclusion. Maybe since he's personally never seen someone with a calcium allergy in his life he ended up leaning on the "no" answer in the end.
My Potassium levels are normal, and my Calcium & magnesium levels are normal (According to both a blood test and hair mineral analysis). Plus I'm taking supplemental magnesium anyways.
But I absolutely know it is calcium... I just know the feeling! It happens from EVERY single type of calcium supplement I've ever tried. There was never any particular filler in there that I have associated with that feeling. What's more is I can take a calcium-free multivitamin, and practically any supplement out there have NO negative reactions. Immediately when there is calcium in a multi I notice that strange feeling creeping over me. It only happens in foods with calcium on the label too. This is nuts I'm telling you.
I am making *slight* progress I think. I've been working really hard to change my lifestyle in all respects so if there is an underlying problem causing this, these other things could help.
Some things I noticed that lessen the symptoms:
* Nystatin... for some reason when I take it I feel so much better. It's hard to convince a doctor to prescribe it for longer than 10 days though, so I'm back to feeling like complete crap when I'm off it.
* Homeopathy - Calcium Carbonate.... I've never really been into homeopathy but I decided that if in homeopathy like cures like, surely a homeopathic calcium preparation would help? And it seems it is helping a little. But this very well could be placebo... I need to give it a few weeks to wait for the placebo effect to wear off. I'll probably need an extremely potent homeopathic dosage of calcium carbonate too if it genuinely is working. Probably one of the "M" potencies.
* And some other things that could have reduced fungus in my body such as Enemas, probiotics, and colonix's fiber formula.
The calcium allergy could just be from a leaky gut.
I dunno what is helping though to be 100% honest. I guess a little bit of everything. I'm bombarding my body with helpful stuff. I have no patience, I want to get better.
Still the calcium allergy is still obviously there. I cannot take any calcium without getting a reaction. What I'm doing must only be lessening the resulting symptoms.
"If you could find an environmental med. doc he or she could help you figure out this mystery."
How? Do I need a referral? I've never really been to any type of allergy specialists etc. in my life other than a NAET practitioner, so not sure how to go about finding one. Plus I'm embarrassed to say to conventional doctors that I think I'm allergic to Calcium. I'll be called a nut case or hypochondriac or something. >_>
Thanks for the help.
