I realize a lot of people will disagree with me, but I do not believe in taking a stimulant laxative herb for more than thirty day without a break. I know some people who sell their colon cleansers with senna or cascara sagrada claim those herbs are "food", but I think they are more like drugs. While I am sure they are safer than chemical laxatives, the colon should learn to depend on its own natural rhythms. I believe the majority of folks need to take breaks from lax teas and see how their body will work on its own. It sounds like you made some good choices, I hope they will work for you.
