Hi pookandpeb,
I don't think that you would be suffering from a psychotic disorder, because you are too aware of your symptoms. Most psychotic disorders are characterized by the absence of insight. But it would pay you to investigate a possible association between your symptoms and hypoglycemia by reading:
Self-help Personal Growth Psychotherapy at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/self-help_personal_growth.html
Having a metabolic disorder does affect one's self-image negatively, which could cause you to feel mistrustful of other people. Having a negative self-image may prompt you to think that other people think negatively of you, without realising that you are projecting your self-image on to other people. This would not be "psychotic", but rather "psychological" as a consequence of the metabolic disorder. Our web site is designed for people with any emotional disorder who want to help themselves get better through educational articles. The articles are meant to explain various forms of mood disorders.
