I searched the word 'cranberry' at CureZone.

This led me to begin reading a lot of stuff I'd never heard before.

One point was that fruits normally create an alkaline condition in the body, except cranberries and plums/prunes.

Another was that cranberries contain malic acid, which breaks calcified gallstones, as I understand it.

There was much on cranberries and E. coli, including this thread...

However, one of the links where I read referred only to sweetened cranberry 'cocktail' and remarked only on the harmful effects of the sugar, therefore, suggested that 'cranberry juice' should not be considered as helpful in urinary tract infections. I wondered why they did not consider plain, tart, cranberry juice...perhaps sweetened with a little stevia.

I experienced a BM that was black, with only a small hint of a dark green color. That worried me until someone mentioned that blueberries can give blackness to stool. I ate half a box of blueberries yesterday. Along with my sips of unsweetened cranberry juice.

Aha!

I also noticed that the cranberry juice we bought is 'reconstituted from concentrate'. I don't know what difference that makes, if any.

Altogether, there is a powerful lot of information from folks writing about cranberries.

Google the word 'cranberry' at CureZone...see what you think.

I know I have a lot to think about, from just beginning to read on this subject.

My best,

Fledgling
