Has anyone gotten response from Tracy. I hope someone can post here if we are allowed to do that.
Here's my recent experience. For years, I know at least since about '92 I have had clogged ears and went to audiologist for part of my school training program. He did a free test on me and suggested I get some hearing apparatus. It was to isolate background noises I believe was part of the problem. I don't remember what he called it. My ears for the longest time, probably about this time or before, would clog up. I tried ear candles and they worked for short time and then back to closing up. I would also use and increase my barley and they seemed to open up, but eventually back to open/close mode. I have had my chiro for over 27 years and have been going to him for a shoulder injury that is finally healing. I mentioned to him yesterday about ears feeling clogged lots of time. He said he worked on several patients with deafness, vertigo, even children and infants with hearing or problems affecting ears. I was game for what he did. I had lots of trust in him, and asked him out of fear if I was the first patient he was going to do this procedure. He said he has done many over the years, learned in chiro. school so I went for it. Here goes...it may sound weird, but I am believing this is not going to the same results as I experienced with for opening/closed. He gave me the run down of what to expect yesterday. He said he would stick him finger down my throat, it was a protective rubber finger, would put antespectic on it, and then open up shall I say the membrances or was it the fibers that were closing off or sealing the ear from hearing bringing it to a deaf state, then expect me to spit up blood right after the first ear was done...so it was do the procedure, then feel like I was read to have dry heaves, with the finger in my throat area for maybe 15 or less seconds, then spit up blood, then he would do the other ear by way of the throat again...it was amazing procedure....today my one ear is totally opened and have not experienced any closure...the other ear is about 99% opened....but he will do this again in another month when I go back for shoulder...and when it stops bleeding I believe he said then we are finished with the procedure...it may have to be repeated down the road which could be months or years later...it was not fun to experience, but was over very quickly....of course I don't look forward to him doing it again, but when he feels we are finished with the procedure then I will be finished. He is not the type to take my money and run. He is in Boulder, CO or else practices in Montana. He said it was exactly as he expected with the ear problem and was not shocked. He asked me if I heard either ear pop and I said how can you hear when you can't hear...again..today doing very well. It may have caused a little sinus dripping, but I will ask him about that when I go back....
He helped hubby over 27 years ago with his one and only epileptic seizure healed in 6 weeks..no drugs from him, but from other dr. 10 dilantin. I am not here to scare anyone, but share our experiences. He also said on the ears it worked with people with vertigo and ringing in ears (I believe it was also). I am only sharing here. I don't get here much, but you can email me too. I do know the initial exam is expensive, and no insurance he takes....it's worth it to me, but if you are not local it's a plane drive perhaps to CO or even MT......best to all of you and I will post away again when I have more update.
I have nothing vested in sharing this message except that maybe you don't have to have closed or deaf ears, vertigo, ringing in ears or whatever. I never heard of this procedure and I can't even tell you what it is called. Perhaps your local chiro. will have more info. on the procedure I described.
