very interesting, Boatman. So glad to have stumbled across your posts today. I feel a bit of a eureka moment.
I know of someone who has MS-like symptoms, but hasn't been diagnosed with anything(lucky! you might say)despite having had tests, MRI's CATscans..etc.
He's nervous about chiropractors...has lost faith in all doctors, except perhaps
the fasting kind. I wonder if he has trouble converting the UVB to D--that somehow sounds right to me...and would be the main puzzle piece in an acid body unable to heal itself. (the calcium-vitamin D connection).
hmmm.He can take a lot of sun; incidentally, he is NOT fair-skinned, though he's looking pallid lately, working long hours. Doesn't really fit the MS picture, but his 'condition' looks similar. He loves sun and heat and can't seem to get enough--can sit outside on the patio long after I've had to retreat, and I am fairly dark-skinned as well. He definitely is acidic, since he has strong cleansing reactions to alkalizing drinks, and as a result, is not inclined to persist with them. He's actually very open to fasting, but I'm concerned that he's get too much 'cleansing' and maybe doesn't have enough reserves to manage a strict water fast--which I think would do wonders.
He was found to be low in Vit. b12, and takes shots for that(and now kombucha I make)but nothing much else was found--he walks as if his legs have no strength, as if they were boneless somehow, and he has very little feeling in them, except pain.
(he pulled his groin awhile back, has pain now in the right thigh and just carries on regardless--has enormous inner strength. Of course he hasn't much energy to stay awake once he's stopped working and sits down to relax at night.) We suspect heavy metal toxicity--some sort of standard hospital test has shown negative!!! which I can't believe. I mean, this is a man who's worked with paint all his life.
anyway--thinking aloud. If anything comes to you, i'd love to know it.
I have a lot of success with subtle therapies myself: homeopathy, etc.
And I saw your posts to kevinader on the "pinched nerve". I agree with you there...
