ok this is a wierd post but i just have to ask. i have terribly awful skin, i've been breaking out in horrible painful cystic Acne since i was a teenager (i'm 24 now). i still break out just as bad, especially before i get my period. as a result of all this skin trauma and the zillions of medication and cosmetics i've used to get rid of it/conceal it (nothing has worked to do either) i have terrible scars, the red/purple ones, the deep pitted ones (a few of those) the ones that are flesh colored and are raised above the skin. and i have huge disgusting pores. i have more than my share of blackheads, clogged pores, and whiteheads. i have skin so oily and slick you'd think i dunked my head in a deep fryer. whenever i look in a mirror and for example there is sunlight coming from either my right side or left side, it makes the skin texture on either side of my face look so rough and bumpy and shiny (because of the oil). i've been reading alot of great info on this site about how changing your diet/lifestyle, doing cleanses etc can really help to make your skin like new. my question is, what kind of results can i typically expect? is it unrealistic for me to want the kind of skin you see in the magazines? I don't want to be vane or look like them or anything, i'm happy being me, i just want decent skin again =( I'm aware that those people are all airbrushed but i know plenty of people in real life that have skin just as perfect, pores that are invisible and these people are not airbrushed lol. is it completely impossible for me to ever have that kind of skin again? am i doomed to having constructive skin surgery?
