Something else I tried at different times was my dad is visiting and I will fix him and my son something and I will just tell him that I was so hungry that I ate earlier while they were gone somewhere. I have also told other people that I was on a low carb diet since most of the things at restaurants have carbs. Both worked as great excuses.
