Having just read "Anticancer" - by David Serban-Schreiber, I was surprised to learn that turmeric is not really very bioavailable unless mixed with black pepper (piperine) and oil (it's not water-soluble). I know quite a few of us take it. I do, have been taking it in the morning for over a year... But apparently not doing much with it - if you're going to have a 'curry drink' first thing in the morning it'd better be doing something!
