IUD Implanted: November 2007
In January 2008 I started to become very ill and I thought I might be catching something like the Flu. I went in to the doctor and told him what I was experiencing:

1. Numb arms
2. Partial paralysis of arms upon waking
3. Dizziness
4. Nausea
5. Short of breath
6. Extreme Fatigue
7. Weak muscles
8. Body aches & Pains
9. High & Low Blood Pressure
10. Anxiety
11. Inability to concentrate
12. Stomach cramps
13. Hair loss

My doctor ordered blood tests and found that my thyroid level profoundly low and felt that this could be the root cause of my problems. I took the first day’s dose and felt alright, but the next day I felt like I was literally about to die. I went back into the doctor with my blood pressure at 84/50 (normal = 120/80). They decided to do more blood tests and found that my cortisol level was extremely low and put me on steroids for possible Addison’s Disease. I then began to go to an endocrinologist who tested me in every way for Addison’s and declared that I didn’t have Addison’s only adrenal fatigue. He gave me a very rare test that shut down and then restarted my pituitary gland to see if it functioned at all. After which I became very ill to the point where I had to be hospitalized for 3 days. I have questioned all of my doctors about my IUD and all have said that there is no way the IUD could be the cause. The past 8 months of my life have been a living hell and have made me question if I am going to make it through this. I am getting my IUD taken out and will try to update if I can.
