Telman, Thanks for the info! I've definitely been been very cautious about what I'm eating.  I just made an appt at the Emory Gastroenterology dept for this Wednesday.  I suspect they will recomend surgery. I want to be prepared to ask the right questions and make the right decision. 

 I really don't want to go through that pain again.  It lasted over 10 hours. They did a cat scan so I should be able to get an idea of how big the gallstones are.  Won't it be very painful to pass them if I do a flush?

 I keep hearing that you don't need your gallbladder but I wanted to do the research myself...
