Hey Chuckle, good work and keep it up. Without gettin long winded about the situation, I will simply say that sometimes folks do get myopic and see things in limited ways. I am with you in that I think it's about balance and keepin things simple when possible - I agree it's not about ideologies, but rather about seeing what works and sometimes one must follow one's gut to be lead to what works. Of course, there are no magic bullets - you gotta find what works for you and that usually won't happen unless you keep an open mind...
