I just bought a pound of Essiac Tea herbs (original forumula) from Mountain Rose Herbs and now I discover that there's this long brewing process, lots of dilution with water etc. Given all the other stuff I'm fussing with for the Budwig diet - cottage cheese, flax oil mixing, juicing, sunshine, hot tea breaks, etc this is becoming a full time job. Unfortunately I have a real full time job on top of it. So I really don't have enough time as it is.
I just brewed up some Essiac as hot tea and am drinking it right now. Not bad taste and it feels relaxing. Obviously given all the fussing that's recommended, simply brewing it up as hot tea is not going to give the same benefit. But would it give ANY of the benefit? 50%? 80%? Anyone know?
Part of the Budwig protocol is to drink hot tea several times a day. This is probably as good as any.
