You don't seem to understand Ron Paul's constitutionalism. That's understandable, since few people respect and follow the Constitution these days.

Ron Paul isn't against "civil rights". He doesn't want to change things so that U.S. CITIZENS of all races wouldn't be able to vote.

His voting against the Rosa Parks medal was simply because he does not believe that Constitution allows spending the people's money in such a way. That principle would include medals for other people, such as Mother Teresa. He volunteered to help pay for the medal out of his own pocket, since he does admire Rosa Parks. He didn't think she didn't deserve a medal, he just didn't think that the government should be footing the bill.

Ron Paul is against the government meddling in the free market - Hence his opposition that the government make the oil companies pay royalties or force the automotive industry to raise their MPG. The Constitution does not give us the right to do that.

Amending the Constitution IS Constitutional. If we couldn't change it, there wouldn't be all those Amendments in the first place. It's about procedure.
Besides, a birthright would still be in place, the proper birthright of children born to an American citizen parent.

Ron Paul doesn't want to "prevent Hispanics from acquiring Citizenship". He just wants to prevent them from unfairly gaining citizenship ahead of the rest of the world, abusing the system, and instead enable a fair system that grants citizenship to Hispanics at a controlled and reasonable rate along with people from the rest of the world. It's very unfair to people from Africa, Russia, Australia, Malaysia, Germany, India, Korea, etc. who want to become citizens, and must wait a long time, jump through hoops and endure the paperwork, etc. or who are just rejected, while anyone can just come over the southern border and have a baby, and they DO, in large numbers.

There are at least 3 sides to this story, that of the citizens, that of the illegal immigrants, and that of international people desiring to become citizens. You identify with the Hispanic side of the story, because of family and friends. I identify with the citizen side, naturally, as well as the side of the internationals. I've lived and traveled abroad, as well as known people who have immigrated here, or who are even struggling to get or renew a green card, tourist visa, etc. I've had to apply for and renew visas in other countries.

I, for one, want people who respect our country and our laws to become new citizens.
Not rulebreakers.

You are turning this into a race war. Not Ron Paul.
