Fluid retention is definitely not caused by drinking too much water...in fact, the opposite is often the case. When the body is not adequately hydrated it will often hold on to fluids as a means of conserving them...think of a camel's hump. Once the body becomes well hydrated and remains that way, it will begin to release excess fluids. Toxins are another cause of fluid retention...the body holds fluid to keep the toxins in suspension in order to protect tissues and organs from damage. Salt can also result in fluid retention, and frequent salt water flushes can contribute to dehydration. I don't recommend regular salt water flushes when using the psyillium and Bentonite cleanse...it causes the mixture to pass too rapidly through the GI tract preventing it from adequately absorbing toxins and sweeping the intestines. In order to be effective the p&b must provide sufficient bulk and the salt water flushes can interfere with this.
Eliminate toxins in your body and drink plenty of water to insure good hydration and the swelling should subside. Also, stimulate lymph circulation with exercise and dry skin brushing.
