I am trying to conceive.I have low ferritin, that is why I am taking ferrous sulphate 325mg.At one time it went down to as low as 10. When I asked my PCP if I can increase my ferrous sulphate, he said I do not need to. So how do I increase my ferritin than other than increasing my iron supplement? I think it will be hard to break the tablet that I am taking into two.I am so tempted to increase my iron supplement(perhaps 2 tablets, it is OTC anyway) and perhaps this will increase my ferritin to more than 40.What do you think?
