Hello procrastinator,
without any concrete diagnosis it is not easy to give advice as in the case of gastroparesis there could be underlying conditions as to its cause.

This could be a case of ( for example) acid reflux, which is easily remedied by fasting, but personally I would seek a professional diagnosis before deciding what exactly is the best course of action and whether you can safely fast or not to eradicate the condition.
