The true budwig diet is the oil but if acceptable oil is not available you can use flax seeds ground. In fact the moderator has told me to use the flax seeds instead of in my case I am over seas and no oils can be shipped. So where are you getting your oils from? Must be a local distributor or you are not getting quality oils.

Also the cottage cheese in the budwig diet in Germany is not the same as American cottage cheese and that is why yogurt is used.
