Hey all, just finished joining this sight and while looking under bowl cleanses i noticed alot of people were asking if muqoid plaque was released during The Master Cleanse or simply with diet alone.
I personally did a 10 or 11(i forget) day Master-Cleanse about a month ago or so and around day seven i did start to notice that the rare occasions that i did have a BM it was exactly as people have been discribing this plaque. Except i didn't have any ropes or anything it was more like a small puddle but it was deffinatly black, disgusting and smelled god awful. I stopped because i was using a strong Senna tea which i heard has been know to cause dependancy over time. Seeing as how psyllium actually promotes bowl health without risk of dependancy, i think i'll start doing P&B shakes instead... I start tommorow morning. But yes i have personally expelled such plaque by the master cleanse.

And now in hindsight i think it was mostly the cayanne(spelling?) pepper. I heard it helps to eliminate mucus and if you inhale 1/16 of a teaspoon (if that) when you have a stuffy nose you'll see what i mean. To those who ask if there is a diet that would produce similar effects i'd assume it'd be one high in fiber and spicy as shit.
Meals to consider: Beans and cayanne maybe over a bed of brown rice
: Perhaps some wassa crisps(fiber crackers) with a garlic and habinero sauce
: fruit smoothies and/or whole fruits (especially bananas 4 me)
: And i guess any other non-mucous forming foods and mucus-eliminating foods
: And of course LOTS of fluid.
I'm pretty sure the Fruitarian diet is also known as the "mocusless" diet or something and i know i go about 2-3 times a day on all fruit (including nuts, seeds, tomatoes, etc.) so maybe just incorporating certain spices and maybe some herbs would do the trick. I'm afraid i don't know as much as i'd like in the herb department but i'll be attending Pacific College of Oriental Med and Acupuncture in a year or so (extennsive herbology) so i may know later.
But maybe someone else could add some ideas to this?
