Update: There is significant concern about the health effects of fructose. Since Agave has a fructose content much higher than high-fructose corn syrup. Due to its fructose content, agave syrup is notable in that its glycemic index and glycemic load are apparently lower than most if not all other natural sweeteners on the market.

If I was to use a honey in the preparation of the Budwig Diet I would recommend a very special honey from New Zealand that contains Methylglyoxal it’s called Manuka Honey

Methylglyoxal, literally tells cancer cells to stop their abnormally high replication rate.

This is one ingredient (Methylglyoxal), virtually everyone fighting cancer or for those taking steps to prevent cancer, should be using. It is relatively unknown, but is one of the few natural supplements that has extensive use.
