For me, raw food diet was too deficient in protein. Yes, all food has some protein. But is it really enough? Most raw foodists end up eating way too much nuts and fruit. Exactly the right formula for a hellacious case of candida, leaky gut, etc.. And, by the way, did you know that raw foodists lose the ability to digest cooked food?

There are some serious dangers with strict raw foodism. Raw diet has its place but it is not the magic lamp some people would tell you it is in order to sell more books (I won't name names).
