If there are 2-3 meals in the body at all times, then why does a bowel movement ideally occur shortly after one eats? Doesn't seem like there should be any connection between eating and the bowel movements....unless one's eating schedule is fairly constant, and one's body simply gets trained to that time schedule.

Is there some other reason for the timing?
