I have previously posted a couple of times on the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement Debate Forum and… because I do not want to draw any further attention to Miracle Mineral Solution… I have refrained from posting further. Although I do have a scientific background with some understanding of chemistry, my expertise is not in this area and I have no interest in engaging in debating technicalities. However ~ it is not necessary to be an expert in chemistry to understand what is occurring with the use of this chemical.

There is a very easily understood explanation for why some people may be deriving initial benefit from the use of Miracle-Mineral-Supplement . Plain and simple… the chemical is a poison and it is acting as a purgative. The use of poisons as medicines has a history as old as medicine itself. In indigenous medicine and various traditions of natural healing… they have been used extensively in many forms, i.e. plant, animal, mineral, etc. They are used very sparingly and with utmost respect… and with the understanding that they are treatments for illness and most definitely not to be used for prevention.

From the standpoint of natural medicine~ the mechanism of action is very simple… since the vast majority of people have considerable toxicity, any sort of purgative will aid in it's elimination by inducing more frequent bowel movements, diarrhea &/or vomiting. Once the level of toxicity is reduced, the bodies own innate healing ability kicks into gear. Our bodies are designed in such a way as to achieve optimal wellness provided we provide them with the essentials.

While people may initially experience some benefit to the use of poisons such as Miracle-Mineral-Supplement … it is quite concerning that they are being advised to continue taking it indefinitely. There is also a basic understanding in natural healing that cleansing and rebuilding must be balanced. This is the same principal that is followed by those who fast and successfully restore their health. This is also the reason that people who follow a strict ongoing diet such as macrobiotics often eventually experience poor health. This is one example of a therapeutic diet that is used successfully as a treatment, but becomes problematic as a lifestyle. The ongoing use of a purgative is very likely to produce the same consequences. With prolonged use of MMS… people are running a high risk of developing what in Traditional Chinese Medicine are known as conditions of deficiency, which are far more difficult to treat.

Because MMS is a relatively new treatment… there are many factors to consider. In addition to it being a purgative… one must also take into account the placebo effect, which is substantial when any new drug is introduced on the market (est. 35%-75%). Pharmaceutical companies capitalize on this routinely by slightly altering and then re-introducing drugs. This placebo effect also drops considerably over the course of a drug's history. The very use of the word 'Miracle" is also playing in to this substantially.

My reason for posting this is also very simple… I am in complete support of the rights of consenting adults to make their own choices regarding their health care. However… I am particularly alarmed that MMS is being used on children and the elderly… and those who are not legally consenting. The healthy development of a child requires a focus on building by providing proper nutrition as part of a healthy lifestyle. Any poisons or purgatives should be used most cautiously. If they are routinely administered or used excessively…. the child will not receive the essential nutrients that are necessary for optimal development. Likewise… the same is true for the elderly and the infirmed. And the administration of a poison or purgative to someone who is already in a very weakened condition is likely to hasten the decline of their health instead of improving it. Additionally… the use of poisons or purgatives for someone who is approaching their death will only weaken them further and increase their suffering.

I also found it extremely disturbing to see the photographs of MMS being administered to children in Africa and also that they are being told that it has magical properties. A research of indigenous medicines will reveal that diseases such as Malaria have been addressed quite successfully with the safe use of herbal treatments…. the use of cinchona bark (quinine) and other herbs in the Amazon is one example dating back to the approximately the 17th century. It was also quinine that allowed for the European colonization of Africa because it prevented 'the white man' from succumbing to Malaria. Consequently ~ there are also many social and political ramifications of the use of treatments such as MMS. And finally… the economic and political motivations and implications of the MMS phenomenon are tremendous and highly suspect… although I will refrain from any further MMS discussions. Suffice it to say that they are very clearly taking priority over the health and wellbeing of those who are most vulnerable.
