Hi nOOb,

The salt water isn't for you, it's for your colon. By that I mean, you are not supposed to be absorbing any of it, it should pass right by the kidney and into the bowel. Therefore, you cannot simply divide the salt and take it during the day. However, I do believe that you may need a little salt while cleansing.
