I was somewhat sick when I started my fast. I had a sore throat that I just could not kick - about a month. My kids had it too - though I was more dilligent about putting essential oils on them to knock it out than for myself. So the first day of my fast - I felt the worst of all. By the second day, the bacteria was already being released, and the mucous in my nose became dark green - this cleared completely on day 4, the sore throat dissapearing on day 3. I think it is pretty amazing how everyone runs to the store when they get sick or to the .......doctors, and all they have to do is stop eating for a couple days and stop trying to kill there fevers so there bodies can do there own work. I was trained in this way, so I am amazed every time I take a step back to traditional nutrition and healing. I mean, where did we let our wisdom become so bastardized, and why? Thankfully now, we have the internet to help bring people out of their delirium - if they are looking. All it takes is a small seed to send someone spiraling into a whole new world (I wrote a lengthy story of my journey to Bella Lucia titled under "Nice new Pic") and it is so exciting for me. I feel so lucky too because I am so young, not everyone is as lucky as me in this. Fasting to good health. And good luck. Blessed Be, motherweary
