I have noticed in books, links, testimonials everyone considers bloodroot an escharotic but this descriiption from all that I have seen and read it does not fit the herb or any properly made product. In other words, no one in their right mind would suggest pouring hydrochloric acid on the body and creating a chemical burn and advertising it as a cancer cure. However, when we refer to it as an escharotic that is exactly what we are describing to the medical field.

So why are we referring to this herb as an escharotic? Someone needs to educate me on my misconceptions.
