Hi, You have rightly described what goes in the practice of tantra. However, their appears to be some misapprehension about 'Tantra' in the western world. The real word is 'Vighyan Bhairavi Tantra' - literally translated, 'techniques for going beyond conciousness'. I would be happy to give you more insight into the subject, if you are interested.
