Plasticat, I've been looking for you!
I just posted on the Iodine forum, about my scars and my experience with Lugol.
As for the beet protocol, I was keen when I saw it, but haven't tried it. However, I was brought up on beetroot and carrot juice, my mother thought it was good for us. And it was!! I was hardly ever sick as a child, brought my kids up on it too and they are very healthy. So from my personal experience, beetroot juice is indeed good for you. whether it does all that, well... it certainly will help.
Let us know if you try it.
