I have NOT had a period since Feb. 2005. I am 45 years old, do not have ANY issues NOT having one.

I had a partial hysterectomy and bye bye, periods! The first two months I was kind of 'hormonal' but have been fine since.

I do not see that it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to have a period once a month. I am 'cleansed'. So whether birth control 'stops' the period or Nature does, or a doctor taking everything but the ovaries, it is not traumatic to NOT have periods (or moon cycles or whatever One chooses to name it).

My thoughts combined with my experiences...
