You're in the right family. Eggplant. With proper technique, one can extract the glycosides and make a paste which was reported 29 years ago as making many skin cancers fall off the body, merely upon topical application. They're alkaloidal steroids, not effective orally, but the glycoside chain must be present. Similar to bloodroot / zinc chloride in their net action. We see many glycosides being of immense value.
