When people use the term nanny state they are referring to the welfare state. Your post implies that getting rid of affirmative action , free housing , food , clothing etc is a return to discriminatory Jim Crow times and this makes you a racist since you believe that the minorities on your block can't get by without govt assistance and affirmative action .
