Hello.  It's been awhile since this thread was posted but it's the one closely related.  

My wife had to have part of her colon on intestine removed 6 years ago.  We recently had a CT scan done due to unexplainable pain orriginating from her abdomen area.  They found what they believe to be a piece of metal in her liver.  Could this be the clips that were mentioned?  why were your clips left in?  the doctors are unsure of the size or shape.
