Just to be clear, Rudenski, from reading your posts on this one thread/topic (the one that evolved from the other thread on Obama), I get the impression that your thoughts on related matters are more in line with mine, collectively, than they are opposed. This said, and with all due respect, there are some notable exceptions.

Libertarians are opposed to anti-discrimination laws.

I may be wrong on this , and will be happy to be wrong, but this seems to be your way of saying we need more laws .... ? Don't we already have more than enough laws to satisfy a single humanity without calling for yet more laws? All this law-making going on over the years really seems to be a half-baked way of people collectively agreeing to say "okay, we admit that thus far, we've really botched the idea of enforcing the laws that exist from the moment we are born into this world, so in an effort to make up for all of our past incompetences, lets make some new laws and get it right this time"

What is it about "love thine enemy" that, on it's own as a seemingly quite thorough and all encompassing as far as a law goes, that people find so lacking that they are compelled to plead with their politicians to erect new laws? To me this one all-powerful law establishes quite well that it is already unlawful to do many things, especially things that involve one person or people intentionally (or even accidentally as the case may be) harming people in ways that often requires other elements of behavior, like discrimination, like hate, like murder and such. It was already against the law to discriminate against people to the extent of hurting / injuring / hating / murdering them LOOOOOOOOONG before modern, formalized, man-made 18th / 19th / 20th century laws ever came along. It also seems that all this politicking that has transpired over the eons to beef up, dress up and or distort OR exploit original meaning as the case may be, with "new laws" accomplishes nothing of true worth. What this really seems to have accomplished, instead, is furthering the notion that we little people are incapable of managing our own lives and affairs, therefore we need dick-waving politicians to go to work in our stead in order to set about the task of scheming and crafting new laws that somehow, in the end, purports to make better or do better what the already existing, all-encompassing law prohibits in the first place. Go to the zoo and other similar operations and you will often see the advice "do not feed the animals". People calling for more laws, and more laws, and even more laws, is exactly the kind of food stuff that political beasts thrive on. In this context, please don't feed the animals. It is already against The law to discriminate. Please do not attempt to muddy and muck up this situation, while also creating new voting blocks / causes / constituencies in the process, by calling for more / new / better laws.
