I read a couple of medical books and there is a video on youtube of dr. melissa palmer interviewing a patient who has itching. They use itching (frequent, not just from a liver flush) -- as a sign of primary biliary cirhossis which is a type of scarring of the bile ducts. One book said it was genetic, the other didn't mention that. I wonder if people get scarred up because of stones and parasites.... Read everything you can about getting your liver/gb cleared and check out the Doc Sutter forum and his book or CD. Read the R posts here and in other relevant forums.
