I do not think that the information you have reported on Vitamin B6 is reliable or accurate!
A genuine, expert source......................
Dr. John E., M.D. wrote the book on vitamin B6 -- literally. 'Vitamin B6: The Doctor's Report' by Dr. Ellis is the classic book on the subject of this nutrient. Ellis took 200 milligrams of vitamin B6 daily from 1961 until his recent death at nearly 90 years of age.

AND Vitamin B6 is definitely a GENUINELY classified Vitamin.........
"Vitamin B6 is a term used to refer to a group of naturally occurring pyridine derivatives represented by pyridoxine (pyridoxol), pyridoxal and pyridoxamine. Even though this vitamin exists in three forms, the term pyridoxine is currently used to cover the whole vitamin B6 group. Once digested, pyridoxine is converted rapidly to pyridoxal phosphate which acts as a co-enzyme in a whole host of biochemical reactions (1,2)."
"Considering that vitamin B6 is involved in so many biochemical processes, it does not come as a surprise that vitamin B6 supplements are useful in treating a great variety of MENTAL and PHYSICAL disorders. First of all, it seems to be helpful in preventing the development of heart disease by inhibiting platelet aggregation and by prolonging clotting time. Furthermore, it prevents arterial blockage by reducing homocysteine levels which are associated with clot formations. It is believed that about one person in seven is prone to high homocysteine accumulation. It has also been found to have cholesterol-lowering effect, particularly when taken in doses of up to 400mg per day. Conversely, a low vitamin B6 is associated with an increased risk of developing coronary heart disease."

The benefits of B6 far outweigh any non-benefits, mentally or physical, and has definitely been categorized as a vitamin by nutritional authorities.
What we are referring to here is "overdosing" on B6 which (like any other vitamin) can have adverse health-consequences.
